Mendota Manor is a beautiful residential care home located in a lovely tree-lined neighborhood in the heart of Mendota Heights. In adherence to our commitment to reducing our environmental impact on future generations Mendota Manor was constructed as an eco-friendly care home. Mendota Manor is home to 7 seniors who require 24 hour assistance with daily living. Our specially trained staff of nurses and nursing assistants adhere to our aging in place philosophy by providing more intensive services as needs progress.
Many seniors facing life limiting conditions are constantly dealing with changes in themselves and their world, and we feel that it is important to help them maintain links to the past and to “things” that are familiar. By creating a house with rooms and furnishings the same as “home” we are able to create a therapeutic environment for residents, family and staff to truly enjoy.
Mendota Manor has a total of 6 care suites (5 private suites / 1 couple suite) each complete with private bathrooms and beautiful views of the outdoors. The 6 care suites open into the hearth of the home where they are greeted with fresh aromas from the kitchen and warm smiles from the staff. The common areas include a library with fireplace, dining areas, activity areas and a sun-filled north woods porch (reminiscent of days at a northern Minnesota cabin).
Mendota Manor also boasts an expansive yard complete with lush gardens, barbecuing areas and a large patio for residents and their family to enjoy. A good portion of spring, summer and fall are spent outside enjoying the sights, smells and noises of Minnesota in bloom. We warmly welcome you and your family to your new home, Mendota Manor.

We believe aging can be a rich and rewarding phase of human development. By creating holistic and therapeutic living environments we are able to fulfill this belief. Each care home is built to look, feel and resemble the homes of our residents. Each home has a hearth which includes an open kitchen and a large table around which meals are shared between friends and family. Because the hearth is the center of the design, each resident’s room opens onto this space. There are no long corridors and no institutional designs. Ultimately our homes are a sanctuary to care for our beloved elders who may be experiencing progressive life limiting conditions and/or dementia.
